During the past three years, theramer GmbH has become established in Russia in the area of ladle cleaning. The techniques which are used there are now being employed in the tundish segment. theramer has succeeded in creating a new innovative development: the manufacturing of monolithic formed purging dams with aligned porosity for usage in the tundish.

If the theramer purging dam is integrated on the tundish floor, non-metallic inclusions in the steel can be averted.
